Of the genuine automotive parts from the Buick LeSabre line, the Rocker Arm is outstanding since it is a highly sensitive component that signifies the durability and efficiency of any car make. Precisely located between the pushrod and the intake and exhaust valves, the Rocker Arm is critical to the engine's performance in that it regulates the mechanical translation of this pushrod's motion in a fashion that maximizes valve timing or 'rock' and thus increases engine efficiency. Made of stamped steel, aluminum, or other strong materials, the Buick LeSabre Rocker Arm is designed to endure the stressful conditions found in high-performance automobiles, whether standard kinds or the roller ones, which relieve the wear and tear of the parts in contact. This feature is specially important for those models of Buick LeSabre which were equipped with engines running at high speed because increased stress is necessary to be handled by precisely the modernized fulcrum bearings. For this reason, the Rocker Arm can be gotten for any Buick LeSabre model- right from 1959 to later models- which just goes to show how integral it is to the car's performance and safety. Since the rocker ratios come to 1.5:1 to 1.8:1, the Buick LeSabre Rocker Arm regulates the amount of lift and efficiency of the engine, which makes it quite a unique product in the automotive industry. Also, furthering its importance, the Buick LeSabre's historical success and offering of longevity attributes such as StabiliTrak and RainSense wiper support the vital role of the Rocker Arm for a secure and comfortable driving. All in all, the Buick LeSabre Rocker Arm is a perfect example of attempts made by the Buick car brand, which, therefore, strengthens its position in the automotive history.

Buick LeSabre Rocker Arm Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Properly Maintain and Replace the Rocker Arm on Buick LeSabre?
    A:
A torque angle meter (J 45059) serves as the fundamental tool which you need to service and repair valve rocker arms with attached push rods. Climb into the service by first taking off the left and right valve Rocker Arm covers and then removing the pedestal retaining bolts to detach the pedestal. Prior to reassembly both assemblies need to sit on a sanitized surface while all components need to be placed for reinstallation at their initial removal positions using their original mating surfaces. To continue remove both Rocker Arm assembly components and Pushrods while cleaning all thread adhesive from bolts and examining both valve rocker arms as well as pushrods. The pushrods need to be installed first before the valve Rocker Arm assembly and ending with the pedestal installation. The two bolts securing the lower Intake Manifold to the Cylinder Head become accessible only after completing upper intake service because this procedure is required to work on the lower intake. Install threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) pain or equivalent to the bolt threads on the valve Rocker Arm pedestal before securing the bolts with the pedestal. Use the torque angle meter (J 45059) to secure valve Rocker Arm bolts at 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.) + 90° torque angle. To finish the procedure replace both valve Rocker Arm covers then check for any valve train noise.
