How to replace the Air Bag Sensor for Side Impact on Buick Regal?

Disable the SIR system before replacing an Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor. Begin by taking off the center pillar lower trim before you remove and loosen the two fasteners that hold the inflatable restraint side impact sensor in place. Before disconnecting the connector remove the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) from the side impact sensor connector along with the inflatable restraint side impact sensor from the center pillar . Connect the side impact sensor connector to the sensor and put the CPA onto the connector before installation. Place the side impact sensor on the center pillar before installing fasteners that require 10 N.m (89 lb in) torque and using hand tools. Reinstall the center pillar lower trim before you enable the SIR system.
