    Q: How to replace the Air Inject Check Valve for Bank 2 on Buick Rendezvous?
    A: A safe procedure to replace the secondary air injection (AIR) shut-off valve for bank 2 starts with turning the ignition off before engine cooling reaches a safe temperature that prevents burns. After removing coils and Ignition Control Module disconnect both the air crossover pipe and vacuum line from the shut-off valve. The service begins with removing the air shut-off valve nut and the bolts that connect the shut-off valve to the manifold pipe while the engine remains off. The installation process starts by mounting the new shut-off valve to the manifold pipe then tightening it according to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Fasten the air shut-off valve nut with a torque of 10 n.m (89 lb in) until tight. Reinstall the Ignition Control Module while connected to the shut-off valve as well as the vacuum line and air crossover pipe.
