  A: The first step for Secondary Air Injection (Air) Pump replacement begins with turning off the ignition then lifting the vehicle through jacking. Get rid of both the left wheel assembly together with the left front fender liner. Start by easing the pinch clamp on the AIR exhaust pipe hose then disconnect the AIR exhaust hose from both the AIR pump and AIR pump electrical connector. The necessary step involves removing the nuts from the AIR pump bracket to the frame before extracting the AIR pump bracket assembly. You should use nuts to fasten the AIR pump along with bracket to the frame mount while tightening them to 50 N.m (37 lb ft). The AIR pump electrical connection gets installed and the interior air exhaust hose receives mild lubrication before attachment at the port outlet of the AIR pump. Reinstall the left front fender liner followed by the left wheel assembly after placing the pinch clamp on the outlet port or exhaust hose connection.
