    Q:
How to replace the Air Inject Check Valve on Bank 1 on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of the air shut-off valve on bank 1 starts with turning off ignition and waiting for engine cooling to be safe from burns before beginning work. Start by disconnecting both the air crossover pipe and vacuum line from the shut-off valve and remove its nut and fasteners that connect the valve to the manifold pipe. The shut-off valve needs to be removed from the bracket after initial disassembly. The installation process starts with bracket securing of the shut-off valve before attaching it to the manifold pipe and tightening to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). After installation of the shut-off valve nut tighten it to 10 n.m (89 lb in) level. Reestablish the vacuum line together with the air crossover pipe to the shut-off valve positioning.

    Q:
How to service the Air Inject Check Valve for Bank 2 on Chevrolet Lumina? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service of Air Inject Check Valve for bank 2 requires engine temperature to be low to avoid burns. The service starts with removing the clamp linked to the Air Hose from the check valve before proceeding to separate the vacuum line from the check valve. The right air pipe assembly must be removed from the manifold after disconnecting it from the Exhaust Manifold adaptors and removing the air pipe bracket nut. The check valve should be separated from the air pipe by removing its two bottom bolts. Upgrade the check valve by threading two bolts through the pipe before fitting the check valve with its associated pipe to the bracket stud and manifold adaptors while securely tightening the pipe connections to the manifold adaptors. Install the bracket stud nut followed by tightening of the locknut to 10 nm (88 lb in). The vacuum line installation should be performed by connecting it to the check valve while you reinstall the clamp and attach the Air Hose to its designated valve location.

    Q:
How to replace the Air Inject Check Valve on Bank 1 on Chevrolet Lumina? Posted by Customer
    A:
The procedure for bank 1 Air Inject Check Valve/pipe replacement begins with unfastening the Air Hose clamp then removing clamp and Air Hose from the check valve before separating the vacuum hose from the check valve. Separate the manual.adapter stud from its nut before you disconnect the exhaust manifold adaptors from the air pipe. Start by removing the check valve/pipe unit from both the manifold and bracket stud before disconnecting its bottom two bolts to divide the pieces. Reinstallation occurs when you pass the two pipe attachment screws through both sides of the check valve before attaching the spring clamp to unite the check valve and reactor pipe while locking the pipe with a nut to a torque of 10 nm (89 lb in). Position the check valve/pipe assembly onto its brackets while securing it through manifold adaptors and tighten the pipe to them before relocking the bracket stud at 10 nm (89 lb in). Last, connect the vacuum hose toward the check valve before attaching the Air Hose with clamp over the check valve and tightening the clamp.

    Q:
How to service the Air Inject Check Valve on Chevrolet Monte Carlo? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service of the Air Injection Control Valve begins with disconnecting the vacuum hose from the combination valve. You should activate the AIR pump exhaust hose pinch clamp before you take out the 2 bolts securing the AIR pipe to the AIR manifold. First remove the bolt which fastens the combination valve to the map sensor bracket then extract the AIR combination valve with its accompanying AIR pipe as one unit. Install the AIR combination valve and AIR pipe assembly to the MAP sensor bracket through the mounting bolt while tightening it to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Secure the two AIR pipe bolts onto the AIR manifold by tightening them to 9 N.m (80 lb in). The installation sequence includes connecting the AIR pump exhaust pipe to the AIR combination valve then repositioning the AIR pump exhaust hose pinch clamp before remaking the vacuum hose connection with the valve.

    Q:
How to replace the Air Inject Check Valve for Bank 2 on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
A safe procedure to replace the secondary air injection (AIR) shut-off valve for bank 2 starts with turning the ignition off before engine cooling reaches a safe temperature that prevents burns. After removing coils and Ignition Control Module disconnect both the air crossover pipe and vacuum line from the shut-off valve. The service begins with removing the air shut-off valve nut and the bolts that connect the shut-off valve to the manifold pipe while the engine remains off. The installation process starts by mounting the new shut-off valve to the manifold pipe then tightening it according to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Fasten the air shut-off valve nut with a torque of 10 n.m (89 lb in) until tight. Reinstall the Ignition Control Module while connected to the shut-off valve as well as the vacuum line and air crossover pipe.

    Q:
How to service the Air Inject Check Valve for Bank 2 on Chevrolet Venture? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service of the Air Inject Check Valve for bank 2 starts by checking that the engine has cooled down because of burn safety risks. Disconnect the clamp along with the Air Hose from the Air Inject Check Valve and detach the vacuum line from the check valve. The right Exhaust Manifold adaptors require removal of the air pipe nut which disconnects the right air pipe assembly so you can extract it from the manifold. The check valve separation starts by removing the two bolts installed at the bottom of the check valve until it splits from its connection to the air pipe. Reinstallation of the two bolts through the pipe into the check valve commences installation followed by the check valve/pipe assembly placement onto the bracket stud and manifold adaptors and securing pipe tightness to the manifold adaptors. Fasten the bracket stud nut but keep the locknut torque at 10 n.m (88 lb in). Connect the vacuum line to the check valve after reattaching the clamp and the Air Hose to the Air Inject Check Valve.
