  The process of Fuel Filler Hose replacement requires first removing fuel system pressure while maintaining a clean environment during all fuel system component servicing. Start by eliminating fuel from the Fuel Tank through the fuel filler cap while draining the fuel. First secure the vehicle at its proper height while removing the fuel filler pipe connecting nut that fastens to the wheelhouse stud. Next unfasten the fuel filler pipe connecting screw mounted on the wheelhouse panel. Separate the fuel filler pipe clamp after which remove the fuel pipe from the Fuel Tank and free the grommet connection from the fuel pocket. The installation process involves passing the fuel filler pipe through the grommet of the fuel fill pocket before fastening it to the Fuel Tank while confirming its complete seating position. Widen the fuel filler pipe clamp with a torque setting of 2.5 n.m (22 lb in) before mounting the fuel filler pipe attaching screw to its wheelhouse panel position with 25 n.m (18 lb ft) torque. Fit the fuel filler pipe attaching screw on the wheelhouse panel after tightening it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Attach a fuel pump to the grommet of the fuel pocket then connect it to fill up fuel in the tank while safely placing the cover. After reconnecting the negative Battery Cable the technician should check for fuel leaks by cycling the on/off ignition twice before monitoring for two seconds of on time.
