How to replace the Air Bag Sensor for Side Impact on Cadillac Catera?

To replace Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor first disable the system of SIR. Take off the front door trim panel and the front door water deflector. Unplug the inflatable restraint Side Impact Sensor (SIS) wiring harness connector and remove two screws in the shape of Torx(R) to remove the SIS from the mounting plate. For installation, connect the SIS to the mounting plate, and fixing it using the two Torx( ) screws along with tightening them to 5 N.m (45 Ib in). And then reconnect the SIS wiring harness connector, then reinstall the front door water deflector and then the front door trim panel. Finally, enable the SIR system.
