    Due to replace the Automatic Level Control (ALC) sensor start by increasing and stabilizing the vehicle. The ALC sensor electrical connector must be detached before unclipping wires from the rear axle cradle and removing the link rod from the sensor arm using the self-locking tabs. You must first remove the ALC sensor bolts before extracting the sensor from its position. Use the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions during the installation of the ALC sensor. Complete installation of the ALC sensor bolts by tightening them to 14 Nm (124 inch lbs.). After placing the ALC sensor arm locking tabs on the link rod you should direct the ALC sensor wiring to the rear axle cradle and use clips to attach it there. Link the electrical connector to the vehicle then lower the vehicle before following the display screen on the scan tool to reprogram the ALC system. DTCs should be inspected before conducting system operation verification.
