    In order to service the Thermostat, one must drain the engine coolant. Next, take off the intake plenum as well as the Intake Manifold. Unclamp the radiator inlet hose from the Thermostat outlet pipe, taking off the bolt that fastens the Thermostat then removing the pipe. Remove there the o-ring seals from the Thermostat outlet pipe and throw them away. Unscrew the Thermostat with the housing by removing bolts, tilting the rear of the Thermostat Housing upwards, and lifting out of the housing as well take out and discard the seal ring. For installation, it is important to install a new seal ring together with the Thermostat and the Thermostat outlet housing and orient the Thermostat into its correct position by tightening it to the Thermostat outlet housing bolts at 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Lubricate 2 new o-rings with coolant and fit them into the Thermostat outlet pipe before fitting the Thermostat outlet pipe and tightening the Thermostat outlet pipe bolt to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Reconnect the radiator inlet hose to the Thermostat outlet pipe, then the Intake Manifold and the intake plenum. Finally, fill the cooling system.
