How to service and repair the starter motor on Cadillac DeVille?

When servicing and repairing the Starter motor, one should first disconnect the battery positive wire. Then, unplug the wire off the "s" terminal on the Starter and also the Battery Cable from the Starter, and then remove the Intake Manifold. Then take off the two Starter mounting bolts, take out your Starter. For the installation: connect the wire to the "s" terminal on the Starter by tightening the nut to 3 nm (27 lb in). Let the Battery Cable lead fit, while you tighten or the nut 8 nm (71 lb in). Install the started motor and fix it with the mounting bolts that are to be tightened to 30 n.m(22 lb ft). Last, reinstall the Intake Manifold and reconnect the battery negative cable.
