  A: The replacement of the Hood Cable requires one to first unlatch the hood before starting the work. First step to replacing the Hood Cable consists of removing it from the Hood Latch then applying string for easier handling during installation through the engine bay. You must start by taking off the front wheelhouse liner after which you should open the launch clips which maintain the Hood Cable and then remove the screws that attach the hood release handle to the vehicle structure. The Hood Cable needs disconnecting from its handle using string to link it so installation becomes simpler in the passenger area. Pull out both the Hood Cable grommet from the wheel opening along with the cable itself from inside the vehicle. Pass the string ends correctly to each Hood Cable terminus before guiding the strings through the passenger space until the string comes out. Install the grommet into its wheel opening before you join the cable to the hood release handle and fasten the handle in place.
