How to replace the engine oil and oil filter on Cadillac Eldorado?

Initially, lift and support the vehicle. Place the oil drain pan beneath the engine oil Drain Plug and take off the plug. Clean and inspect the engine oil Drain Plug (replace if necessary) and clean and inspect the sealing surface on the Oil Pan (repair/replacement if necessary). Then, take out the Oil Filter and clean and check the region where the Oil Filter adapter's seal is, and correct it if the adapter is or the installation is not correct, or replace it. Fill the new Oil Filter with oil and, when installing such filter, lightly oil the gasket with the clean oil before installing the new Oil Filter, tightening it to 3/4 - 1 turn after contact with the mounting surface occurs. Install the engine oil Drain Plug and tighten it with 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Steep down vehicle and replace engine with new engine oil and check for oil leakage after the engine starts.
