How to replace the rear sway bar link on Cadillac Eldorado?

The procedure for replacing the rear sway bar link starts with vehicle support and tire removal followed by sway bar link upper retaining bolt removal and nut unfastening then lower retaining bolt removal. First remove the sway bar link upper retaining bolt and nut before you take the lower retaining bolt to remove the sway bar link entirely. Follow the fastener notice in service precautions when attaching the sway bar link to the vehicle. Start by installing the upper retaining bolt and nut below it before putting in the lower retaining bolt. Tighten the upper retaining bolt and nut at 52 Nm (38 ft. lbs.) while the lower retaining bolt requires 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.). Reinsert the tire and wheel before the vehicle reaches the ground position.
