How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Cadillac Eldorado?

Placing your service work on the Throttle Position Sensor requires disconnecting the iac electrical connector from the iac sensor and then moving on to remove the MAP Sensor electrical connector from the MAP Sensor. Start by removing the tp sensor retaining screws electrical connector from the tp sensor . Then take off the water pump belt cover and disconnect the tp sensor electrical connector from the tp sensor before removing it. When installing the tp sensor use a new o-ring placed on the sensor followed by attaching the tp sensor electrical connector to the tp sensor and finally screw tightening the tp sensor screws to 2.3 n.m (20 lb in) before securing the tp sensor to the Throttle Body. Connect the iac electrical connector to the iac sensor while connecting the MAP Sensor electrical connector to the MAP Sensor. Afterwards install the water pump belt along with the tensioner cover. To complete the tp sensor learn procedure turn the ignition switch to run/on for one minute then switch it off while allowing a 15-second timer to expire.
