  A: The first step for replacing the throttle position (TP) sensor requires removing both idle air control (IAC) electrical connector from the iac sensor and manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector from the MAP Sensor. First remove the water pump belt cover before unscrewing the screws which secure the tp sensor to its position. The electrical connector of the tp sensor should be separated from its attachment point. After installing a fresh o-ring onto the tp sensor users need to connect the tp sensor electrical connector to the tp sensor . Place the tp sensor onto the Throttle Body and fasten its screws to 2.3 n.m strength (20 lb in torque).
