The first task to replace right side Engine Mount (1500 Except RPOs LY2 and LY6) requires removing the air cleaner outlet duct. End the manufacturing process of the four wheel drive vehicle (4WD) by removing its front drive axle along with its bracket bolts. The
Exhaust Manifold should be detached followed by removal of the a/c compressor bracket. The removal process begins with Engine Mount to frame bolts before the engine must never be lifted by crankshaft balancer or
Oil Pan or supporting surface. A screw type adjustable jack should support the engine block while using the wheelhouse opening to remove Engine Mount to engine bolts. The jack should elevate the engine slightly until enough space becomes available to take out the mount. Install the new Engine Mount on the engine and torque Engine Mount to engine bolts to 50 nm (37 lb ft). Raise the engine until the mount touches the frame surface then take away the jack support. Fasten the Engine Mount frame bolts to 65 nm (48 lb ft) torque while beginning with the center bolt. You must install the a/c compressor bracket before applying torque to 90 nm (67 lb ft) on the front drive axle bracket and its bolts then tighten the front drive axle as the last step. Finally, reinstall the Exhaust Manifold.
