Before replacing the left Engine Mount Bracket you must take out the Engine Mount along with its bolts and bracket. The first step for installation requires you to position the Engine Mount Bracket correctly. Remove all original adhesive residue before installing bolts with a cleaning process using denatured alcohol or an equivalent followed by waiting for them to dry. The bolts require treatment with thread locker gm p/n 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or an equivalent before installation. You should insert the Engine Mount Bracket bolts into their proper position and tighten them to 75 nm (55 ft. Lbs.). Finally, install the Engine Mount.

You should start the replacement of the left Engine Mount by taking out the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket bolts. A 2wd vehicle needs to be lifted for exposure of the front wheelhouse opening while 4wd vehicles need elevation to take off their front tires and wheels. The replacement process begins with left front wheel removal along with the subsequent removal of wheelhouse inner panel push pin retainers as well as the inner panel. Proceed with engine shield bolt removal along with removing the engine shield itself. Supporting the engine with either the crankshaft balancer or Oil Pan is unsafe during any maintenance operations. Engine mounts need to be accessed with adjustable (screw type) jack stands that support the engine after it has been correctly raised. During 4wd vehicle maintenance remove both the front propeller shaft in addition to the left Engine Mount. You must position the new left Engine Mount to the engine while securing the Engine Mount bolts at 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). The front propeller shaft needs reinstallation while removing the supports from beneath the engine. Reposition the engine shield onto the vehicle before installing its bolts with a torque of 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). After lowering the vehicle position the left front tire and wheel before tightening the wheelhouse inner panel push pin retainers and the inner panel. Screw and tighten the Engine Mount-to-Engine Mount bracket bolts to 65 nm (48 ft. Lbs.).

Lbs.) torque to the bolts that complete assembly with the mount.

Install the engine mount bracket, ensuring to adhere to the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Finally, install the engine mount.

Broken or deteriorated mounts can lead to misalignment and damage to drive train components, and remaining mounts experience increased stress when one fails.

Lower the engine and remove the adjustable jack stands.

Begin by installing the engine mount bracket, ensuring to follow the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Finally, lower the vehicle.

Raise the vehicle and remove the tire and wheel, followed by the wheelhouse panel.

If necessary, also remove the engine mount side bracket bolts and the bracket, followed by the engine mount bracket bolts and the bracket.

Install the oil pan skid plate and bolts, tightening them to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).

Remove the front drive axle.

Install the wheelhouse panel and the tire and wheel, then lower the vehicle.

Use adjustable (screw type) jack stands to raise and support the engine, ensuring not to raise or support it by the crankshaft balancer or oil pan.

Install the engine mount bracket, ensuring to adhere to the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

The remaining mounts experience increased stress when one fails.

Use an adjustable jack on the square tab at the rear of the engine block, which requires removing the starter.

Lower the engine and remove the adjustable jack stands, then install the engine mount-to-engine mount bracket bolts, tightening them to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.).

Install the upper engine mount and its bolts to the engine, tightening them to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).

Position the new engine mount to the engine and install the engine mount to engine bolts.

Install the engine mount bracket bolts and tighten them to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).

Remove the engine mount side bracket bolts and the bracket.

Tighten them to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).

Remove the engine mount side bracket bolts and the bracket.

Install the engine mount.

Remove the engine shield bolts and the engine shield.

Apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the bolts.

Lower the engine and remove the adjustable jack stands.

Install the engine mount.

Apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the bolts.

Remove the front propeller shaft.

Reinstall the starter motor and the A/C compressor.

Tighten them to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).

Finally, install the engine mount.
