How to replace the Parking Brake Cable on the right rear with RPO NYS on Cadillac Escalade ESV?

Begin the replacement procedure of the right rear park brake cable RPO NYS by releasing the park brake and raising the vehicle for support. Move the equalizer bar lock by using intermediate cable pressure to lower the cable then allowing it to slide free from the equalizer bar. After pressing the locking tab holders on the mounting bracket you can detach the cable and disassemble the differential clip while removing the bolt connecting it to the rear axle clip. Remove the mounting bracket bolt of the rear brake cable afterward disconnect the brake cable from its lever position. Depress the locking tabs of the brake cable to extract it from the rear brake cable mounting bracket where you can remove it from guides and body mounts. The new brake cable installation requires insertion into the rear brake cable mounting bracket until the locking tabs snap in position followed by connection of the park brake cable to the lever. Fasten the rear park brake cable bracket bolt with a torque of 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.). The installation continues with connecting the park brake cable to the differential clip followed by torquing the park brake cable bolt to the rear axle clip at 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Thread the park brake cable through all necessary guides and body mounts before inserting it into the mounting bracket until locking tabs engage to connect with the equalizer bar. The last step involves eliminating safety stands and lowering the vehicle down.
