Start the 2500 series front Brake Caliper Bracket replacement by lifting and holding the vehicle while also removing the tire and wheel. Begin by taking off
Brake Pads along with Brake Pad retaining springs. Take off the two caliper bracket holding bolts and remove the Brake Caliper Bracket. Hang the new Brake Caliper Bracket onto the
Steering Knuckle area. After cleaning all traces of the original adhesive from the bracket surface, apply bolts into their threads and use approved cleaner to treat them for best results. Secure each Brake Caliper Bracket mounting bolt with threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 product (Canadian P/N 10953488) and tighten them to 300 n.m (221 lb ft) force. Put in fresh Brake Pad retaining springs and plate components. Press lightly on the brake pedal until it offers solid resistance and replace the brake fluid to proper levels in the reservoir when needed. Put the tire wheel system back into position.
