    Q:
How to replace the front brake caliper bracket on Chevrolet Suburban 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start your Brake Caliper Bracket replacement by draining 2/3 of the brake fluid from the master cylinder. After lifting the vehicle and to support it you should take out the tire and wheel assembly. You need to take off the caliper first before removing the caliper bracket with Steering Knuckle assembly to check for damage on the caliper bracket. Install the parts by placing the caliper mounting bracket first on the Steering Knuckle assembly then fitting the caliper on top. Put back the wheel and tire unit then take away the support stands before bringing the car down. Press the brake pedal steadily yet strongly to let the brake pads fix into position.

    Q:
How to replace the rear brake caliper bracket on GMC Safari? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Brake Caliper Bracket on the back brake needs heavy wire support to stay connected to the hydraulic hose during replacement. Detach the caliper from its mounting bracket but leave the hydraulic brake hose connected before dissembling the brake pads and anti-rattle clips from the Brake Caliper Bracket. Unthread the two bolts securing the Brake Caliper Bracket and take out the bracket. During this step clean both bracket ends inside and the threaded mounting surface. Reattach the Brake Caliper Bracket and secure it in place only after cleaning both threads and surfaces with denatured alcohol. Utilize threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (10953488 in Canada) for this step. Insert the two mounting bolts on the Brake Caliper Bracket and tighten them to 148 lb ft. Replug the anti-rattle clips and brake pads afterward while letting the pads reach the rotor. Start with engine off and lower the vehicle. Then attach the brake caliper, the components, wheel, and tire. Use a slow pedal press up to two-thirds distance to reach proper piston placement. Repeat until you achieve consistent brake effort.
