    Q:
How to replace the brake line on Chevrolet Avalanche 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by detaching brake pipe fittings before you uninstall both brake pipe fasteners from the car to remove its brake pipe. Then bend the brake pipe until it reaches its proper fit position before reinstalling it into the vehicle with a 19 mm (3/4 inch) gap to all moving and vibrating parts. Finally you can begin with fastening brake pipe saddles before fitting brake pipe connections. Brake pipe fittings should be torqued to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) when attaching them to both BPMV and wheel jounce hoses and to the master cylinder. Finish the process by bleeding the hydraulic brake system.

    Q:
How to properly replace brake lines to ensure safety on Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
Use double-walled steel brake pipes to avoid brake system failure when replacing them and restore the original pipe routing by reinstalling fasteners at their normal spots to prevent personal harm. Keep brake pipes at least 1/4 inch away from each other when they run parallel. Start the process by removing brake pipe fittings then uninstalling brake pipe fasteners before taking out the brake pipe from the vehicle. Bend the new brake pipe to the right shape and place it correctly leaving a space of 19 mm (3/4 inch) between it and any moving hardware. Attach brake pipe fittings to (BPMV) or wheel jounce hoses then to the master cylinder by using torque specifications of 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). After installation complete the hydraulic brake bleed process through the Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure.

    Q:
What are the steps and precautions for replacing brake lines on Chevrolet Silverado 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Use double-walled steel brake pipe during replacement to keep your brakes working and wire brakes properly to stop accidents from harming you. Keep the brake pipes set up parallel with each other at a minimum distance of 6 mm (1/4 inch). You should disconnect brake system fittings before removing brake pipe fasteners to take out the pipe from the vehicle. Use the brake pipe properly and put it on as long as moving parts stay 19 mm away from one another. Fasten the brake pipe with its mounts before connecting the fittings to BPMV or wheel jounce hoses where you should tighten the connections to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) and to the master cylinder at the same force. Complete the hydraulic brake system bleed procedure through the ABS automatic pressure release mode.

    Q:
How to replace the front brake line on Chevrolet Suburban 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need to lift and support the vehicle before removing its tire and wheel assembly. Before installing the rubber cap or plug on the brake pipe fitting end users should cleanse both the brake hose end and brake pipe fitting from dirt particles. Amu up a back up wrench onto the brake hose fitting end and detach the brake pipe fitting end from the brake hose before placing caps or plugs on the brake pipe fitting end. Begin work by removing the brake hose retaining clip from the mounting bracket and then move onto breaking the brake hose bracket bolts from the upper Control Arm and Steering Knuckle and finally remove the brake hose to caliper bolt from the brake caliper. The two copper gaskets of the brake hose must be discarded because they might be attached to the caliper housing or brake hose end. The installation procedure requires positioning 2 new copper brake hose gaskets and the brake hose bolt onto the brake hose before attaching the brake hose to caliper bolt-front and adding 2 new washers to the brake caliper. Tighten the bolt to 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.) while maintaining the brake hose free from twisting and contacts with suspension components. Place the brake hose bracket bolt onto the Steering Knuckle and upper Control Arm before tightening both bolts to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). Fasten the brake hose inside the bracket by using the retaining clip. Use a back up wrench on the brake hose fitting end to connect the brake pipe fitting end to the brake hose. Regularly check for any bending of the mounting bracket or brake pipe during installation. Tighten both pieces together to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Before reattaching the tire and wheel assembly check both extreme right and left turn conditions and bleed the hydraulic brake system. Secure the brake hose away from suspension and tire/wheel assembly with no contact. Check for contact but immediately remove the brake hose to fix the issue before putting the vehicle down.

    Q:
How to replace the brake line using the J 45405 Pipe Flaring Tool Kit on Cadillac Escalade EXT? Posted by Customer
    A:
For replacing the brake pipe, use J 45405 Pipe Flaring Tool Kit and make sure to use double-walled steel brake pipe in order to avoid brake system failure. Start by examining the area of the brake pipe which is to be repaired and after this, remove it from retainers. Select a sectioning point if required, where there is enough clearance for the J 45405 steering rod, and do not mount at bends. Measure the length of the pipe to be removed, with added pipe flares. 6.35 mm (0.250 in) for 4.76 mm (3/16 in) diameter pipe, and 9.50 mm (0.374 in) for 6.35 mm (1/4 in) diameter pipe, and 12.67 mm (0.499 in) for 7.94 mm (5/16 in) diameter pipe. Cut the brake pipe to the measured length using the single-action pipe cutter of the J 45405, remove the sectioned part. Choose the right brake pipe and tube nuts and remove its nylon coating from the end that will be flared by using the coating stripping tool that is from the J.45405 and do not gouge the metal surface. The next step is chamfer the inside and outside diameter of the pipe with de-burring tool from the J 45405 and install tube nuts. Clean the brake pipe and the J 45405 of all contaminants, loosen the die clamping screw, and perform the installation of the die halves into the die cage. Push the prepared end of the pipe into the dies, tighten the clamping screw, and employ the forming mandrel in order to flare it. Flare diameter check post-flaring: 6.74 7.10 mm (0.265-0.279 in) for 4.76 mm (3/16 in), 8.57-9.27 mm (0.344-0.358 in) for 6.35 mm (1/4 in), and 10.42-10.79 mm (0.410-0.425 in) for 7.94 mm (5/16 in) diameter of pipe. Bend the new pipe with a brake pipe bending tool if needed, keep a distance of 19 mm (3/4 in) from moving components, and apply appropriate unions to install the pipe. Secure the brake pipe to retainers if released, bleed the hydraulic brake system, and lastly, inspecting for leaks by starting the engine and applying brakes with help.

    Q:
How to properly replace brake lines to ensure safety on GMC Sierra 3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
When changing brake pipes use double walled steel brake pipe to prevent failure of brake system and see that the pipes along with their replacement are routed and held up through their original fasteners without damage that causes personal harm. Keep 6mm (1/4 inch) clearance of parallel brake pipes. Start by unscrewing the brake pipe fittings, removing break pipe fasteners, and pulling out the brake pipe out of the vehicle. Bend a new brake pipe so that it fits correctly, followed by installation with a clearance of 19 mm (3/4 inch) from any moving/vibrating component. Secure the brake pipe fasteners, after connecting the brake pipe fittings to the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) or the wheel jounce hoses to the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) or the wheel jounce hoses to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.), and the master cylinder to the same specification(cljs). Finally, bleed the hydraulic brakes system.
