First unfasten the rotor from the housing then lower the Axle Shaft before taking out the park brake shoe. Using a socket and wrench remove the backing plate bolts until you can take the backing plate away from the axle housing flange. Put the backing plate on the axle housing flange first then use the backing plate nuts to fasten it at 135 nm (100 ft. Lbs.). Install the park brake shoe first and then the Axle Shaft before adjusting the park brake shoe. Install the rotor while connecting the rear park brake cable end back to the park brake actuator lever and fasten the park brake cable to its mounting bracket through the locking tabs. Complete the installation by connecting the equalizer bar to the park brake cable then put back the tire and wheel unit. Take out the safety stands and lower the vehicle while setting the park brake properly.
