The first step to replace an outlet Radiator hose for 4.8l, 5.3l, and 6.0l engines is to drain the cooling system. You should begin by loosening air cleaner outlet duct clamps that attach to the
Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor before removing the Radiator inlet hose clip from the outlet duct and taking out the air cleaner outlet duct. Begin by relocating the outlet hose clamp at the
Water Pump before pulling off the outlet hose from the Water Pump and continuing with relocating the outlet hose clamp at the Radiator for removing the outlet hose from the Radiator. The first step for installation requires you to fit the outlet hose against the Radiator while securing the outlet hose clamp to the Radiator. The second step involves setting the outlet hose to the Water Pump before positioning the outlet hose clamp at the Water Pump. Reinsert the air cleaner outlet duct while aligning its Throttle Body end arrow with the Throttle Body attaching stud before securing the Radiator inlet hose clip on the outlet duct. Tighten all air cleaner outlet duct clamps at their positions on the Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.) while filling up the cooling system.
