How to replace the drive belt on Cadillac Seville?

A 1/2 inch drive extension should go into the belt drive tensioner while pulling down on the extension to achieve tension release prior to belt removal. The Power Steering Pump Drive Belt must be taken off before you release the tensioner to its original position while leaving the belt in place. When installing the Drive Belt guide it through all pulleys except those of the Power Steering Pump and Drive Belt tensioner. When working with the Drive Belt tensioner use a 1/2 inch drive extension to push the tensioner down while installing the belt around its wheel. The belt installation requires finishing belt placement so every pulley has the belt united correctly before proceeding with belt tension. Shift the tensioner back to its present position to generate pressure on the Drive Belt. Check the belt routing and alignment after installation then start the engine to confirm the correct operation of accessories and belt.
