How to replace the HVAC control module on Cadillac Seville?

The process for HVAC control module replacement begins with removal of instrument panel center trim plate and console trim plate. Until installation starts disconnect the electrical connectors that link the radio to the HVAC control module and the HVAC control module to its bracket. After detaching the HVAC control module and radio you can proceed to unscrew the retaining nuts before extracting the module from its bracket. The HVAC control module must return to the bracket before you lock it in place using retaining nuts that should reach 10 N.m torque (88 lb in). Connect electrical cables to the HVAC control module and radio while maintaining an OFF ignition position for correct actuator calibration. After installing the HVAC control module and radio into the vehicle you must install the HVAC control module bracket fasteners followed by the console trim plate and the instrument panel center trim panel. Let the vehicle run for one minute while steering clear of all HVAC control module adjustments to stop incorrect heating and cooling performance.
