Starting the HVAC Control Module replacement requires first removing the instrument panel center trim plate and console trim plate. Start by removing control assembly bracket fasteners and then disconnect all electrical connectors linking the control assembly to the radio. After taking off the radio along with the control assembly you must unscrew its retaining nuts allowing extraction of the control assembly from its bracket. Begin by sitting the control assembly onto the bracket following the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions recommendations. Use retaining nuts to mount the control assembly onto its bracket before tightening them to a torque of 10 N.m (88 lb in). Reinstall both the control assembly and radio into the vehicle after connecting their electrical connectors back into place. To finish installation you should replace the console fasteners followed by installing the trim plate and instrument panel center trim panel.
