When replacing the auxiliary HVAC Control Module start with a flat bladed tool to gently remove the top section after you remove the module from the Center Console/seat and disconnect the electrical connector and finally extract the unit from the vehicle. Install the bottom section of the auxiliary HVAC Control Module into the console first then use top pressure to secure the control inside the console/seat. Begin the installation process by connecting the auxiliary HVAC Control Module electrical connector.

You need to remove the right console accessory trim plate to access the auxiliary blower motor resistor. Switch off the electrical connection to the blower resistor then take out the screws that stabilize the auxiliary blower motor resistor before removing it from the car. Follow these steps when installing the auxiliary blower motor resistor by first placing it in its designated position then fastening the screws using 1.4 N.m of torque according to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. After linking it to the blower motor resistor's electrical connector you can replace the control panel trim.

A flat bladed tool will pry out the top of the auxiliary HVAC Control Module before you can remove it from the Center Console/seat and disconnect the electrical connector to finally remove the module from the vehicle. Installation starts by connecting the electrical connector to the auxiliary HVAC Control Module followed by fitting the module bottom into the console and pushing it in at the top to lock the control into place within the console and seat.

Starting your job you must take off the console trim piece. Before removing the blower resistor disconnect its electrical connector and unscrew the resistor fasteners in the back. Mount the new blower resistor into place as you fasten it down with the rear motor resistor hardware. Attach the blower resistor electrical connector after placing back the console trim plate.

Start by removing the console trim plate then disconnect the electrical connector from the blower resistor before removing its rear fasteners and taking out the resistor. Start the replacement by placing the new blower resistor correctly and tightening the rear blower motor resistor fasteners. Reinsert the electrical connector to the blower resistor and put back the console trim panel.

Start replacing the auxiliary blower motor resistor by taking off the right console accessory trim panel. First disconnect the electrical connector that links to the blower resistor . Use a socket to remove both screws that keep the auxiliary blower motor resistor in place. Then extract the resistor from the vehicle. Insert the auxiliary blower motor resistor into its designated place and fasten it with screws. Tighten both screws to achieve a torque of 1.4 N.m (13 lb in). Reconnect the electric connector to the auxiliary blower motor resistor and put back the console trim panel.

The process for HVAC control module replacement begins with removal of instrument panel center trim plate and console trim plate. Until installation starts disconnect the electrical connectors that link the radio to the HVAC control module and the HVAC control module to its bracket. After detaching the HVAC control module and radio you can proceed to unscrew the retaining nuts before extracting the module from its bracket. The HVAC control module must return to the bracket before you lock it in place using retaining nuts that should reach 10 N.m torque (88 lb in). Connect electrical cables to the HVAC control module and radio while maintaining an OFF ignition position for correct actuator calibration. After installing the HVAC control module and radio into the vehicle you must install the HVAC control module bracket fasteners followed by the console trim plate and the instrument panel center trim panel. Let the vehicle run for one minute while steering clear of all HVAC control module adjustments to stop incorrect heating and cooling performance. Engine operation during calibration is essential to achieve correct system calibration.

Begin HVAC Control Module replacement by taking out the right ip accessory trim plate. Start by pinching the tabs on the a/c control module then pull it backward to separate the heater and a/c control from the instrument panel. The installation procedure starts when you place the heater and a/c control module into its panel slot making sure the tabs lock securely. The right ip accessory trim plate should be reinstalled last.

Remove the fasteners that secure the auxiliary blower motor resistor.

Disconnect the electrical connectors from the HVAC control and remove the HVAC control assembly from the instrument panel.

Connect the HVAC electrical connectors, ensuring the ignition is in the OFF position for proper actuator calibration.

Take the resistor out of the vehicle.

Remove the fasteners that secure the auxiliary blower motor resistor.

Remove it from the center console/seat and disconnect the electrical connector.

Take out the control assembly bracket fasteners and disconnect the electrical connectors from the control assembly and the radio.

Secure the control assembly with the retaining nuts, tightening them to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

Remove it from the center console/seat and disconnect the electrical connector.
