Detach the tie rod end clamp from the Rack and Pinion Boot then cut open the boot clamp with side cutters before discarding the old clamp. After removing the Rack and Pinion Boot from the gear assembly check for damage and inspect the boot for inner oil leakage. After draining the oil wash the boot thoroughly using a solvent.
