If equipped, take out the Steering Wheel and tilt lever, followed by the upper and lower shrouds. Remove the 3 wire harness straps from the wire harness assembly and remove the wire harness assembly from the wire harness strap and pop it out. Next, unsecure the wire harness strap from the upper tilt head assembly, unsecure the coil assembly retaining clip and the coil assembly, and finally the wave washer. For installation, ensure all the fasteners are pulled down into position before applying the specified amount of torque to prevent component failure. Install the wave washer, and align then the block tooth on the race and the upper shaft assembly, set to the 12 o'clock figure to install the sir coil assembly, which must be centralized. In case the coil assembly is displaced by the Steering Column spinning turning or the centering spring are forced down, perform the inflatable restraint coil centering - off vehicle (Column Shift and Floor Shift) procedure.
