  A: The first step to replace the Parking Brake Cable requires releasing the parking brake lever and removing both rear wheels from the vehicle. The first step involves the removal of both retaining rings which hold the parking brake cables. After that discard the plastic sleeves from each side of the vehicle. Start by discharging the parking brake lever before you remove the brake cable from both the backing plate and shoe lever. After removing the cable support bolts from the axle bracket you must separate the rear axle mounting bracket bolts on both sides.
