Chevrolet Blazer Wheel Bearing Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: What tools are required to replace the rear wheel bearing and axle shaft seal on Chevrolet Blazer?
A: Several tools are necessary to conduct a rear Axle Shaft seal and bearing replacement process. These include the tools required for replacing rear Axle Shaft seals and bearings include j8092 driver handle and j22813-01 axle bearing remover/installer (7.6 inch Axle) and j23771 Axle Shaft seal installer (7.6 inch Axle) and j23765 Axle Shaft bearing installer (7.6 inch Axle) and j2619-01 slide hammer. J8092 driver handle, j22813-01 axle bearing remover/installer (7.6 inch Axle), j23771 Axle Shaft seal installer (7.6 inch Axle), j23765 Axle Shaft bearing installer (7.6 inch Axle), and j2619-01 slide hammer. The replacement process starts by jacking up the vehicle then taking out the tire assembly and wheel followed by stripping away the rear axle housing cover and Axle Shaft. The j2619-01 and j22813-01 form a pair for removing disc brake-equipped Axle Shaft seals and bearings from the axle housing. The bearing installation requires usage of the j23765 and j8092 tools for driving into the axle tube until the tools reach the tube's bottom surface. Drive the j23771 into the bore to push the Axle Shaft seal until it reaches full tube depth. The Axle Shaft along with the rear axle housing cover and tire and wheel assembly should be restored back into position. Add the correct fluid to the rear axle before you lower the car to completion.
