Chevrolet Camaro Wheel Speed Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the front wheel speed sensor on Chevrolet Camaro?
A: Access the front wheel sensor by popping off the cover in the engine area to disconnect the electrical connector before detaching the panel retainer. Make the electrical connector travel through the wheel house panel seal and place the vehicle into lift position. Uninstall the tire and wheel first then free the Wheel Speed Sensor wire harness retainer from the outer wheel house panel and disconnect it from the front suspension strut. Make the Steering Knuckle area free of dirt and remove the Wheel Speed Sensor bolt before pulling the entire sensor assembly away from the knuckle. Mount the sensor onto the Steering Knuckle and fasten the Wheel Speed Sensor bolt to 9 nm while keeping it tight. Fasten the wire harness retainer to the outer wheel house panel before connecting the wire harness to the suspension strut. Insert the electrical components into the wheel house panel before putting back the wheel and tire and allowing the vehicle to return to the ground. From the engine bay connect the front wheel sensor electrical connector and then attach its retainer to the wheel house panel inside the vehicle.
