Chevrolet Cobalt Knock Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the knock sensor on Chevrolet Cobalt?
A: The replacement process starts by removing the Starter followed by disconnecting the Knock Sensor (KS) harness connector. The ks retaining bolt needs removing to complete the upcoming steps of ks extraction. Check that the ks threaded surfaces are free from debri before you install them. Replace the Knock Sensor and torque the retaining bolt to a value of 25 n.m (18 lb ft). You should connect the Knock Sensor harness connector following the Starter installation.
