Chevrolet Corvette Wiper Arm Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the wiper arm on Chevrolet Corvette?
A: Begin this project by opening the hood and turning on the keys in accessory mode before using the wipers in their intermittent pattern. End wiper service by putting the arms to the inside wiping position then power off the car. Put masking tape on the front glass at the ends of both wiper arms for reinstating them. Unscrew the protective cover from the Wiper Arm followed by the nut that attaches the Wiper Arm to the wiper transmission. Free the hose connection at the air inlet screen and lift the Wiper Arm off the wiper transmission by disconnecting it from the transmission. You can take off the Wiper Blade from the arm if required. Reinstall the Wiper Blade assembly first when putting it back. Ordinarily attach the washer hose to the air inlet screen at its nozzle position while arranging the route underneath the Wiper Arm so it leads front of the Wiper Pivot. Place the Wiper Blade assembly tip against the masking tape on the windshield and fix the Wiper Arm to the wiper transmission. It is common to let the Wiper Arm shift during tightening until it reaches the alignment mark. When it moves away, loosen the nut and reposition the arm correctly. Place the Wiper Arm nut in position against the wiper transmission and torque it to a value of 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Position the wiper cover over the arm and take off the tape from the windscreen.
