How to replace the Power Steering Hose Inlet on Chevrolet Equinox?

A replacement of power steering gear inlet pipe/hose requires front tire/wheel assemblies removal as the first step. Set drain pans under the automobile while draining as much fluid as possible from the remote power steering reservoir. Disconnect both fittings of the power steering gear inlet hose from the Power Steering Pump and the steering gear. Unfasten the wire harness and gear outlet hose from around the inlet hose before pulling out the power steering gear inlet hose from the vehicle. Place the steering gear inlet hose to correct position on the vehicle before final hand tightening fits then applying torques. Attach the power steering gear inlet hose fitting to the steering gear then apply torque of 25 nm (18 lb ft) while tightening the connection. Next install it to the Power Steering Pump and administer the same tightening torque. Eliminate excess fluid from the vehicle before you remove drain pans to install wire harness and gear outlet hose into their designated retention clips. You should install front wheel/tire assemblies before performing power steering system filling and bleeding procedures.
