Begin the replacement by draining all possible power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir followed by removing front wheel assemblies with tires along with the left side engine splash shield. Place drainage containers under the vehicle when necessary. The first step in power steering cooler pipe/hose replacement requires compressing the power steering cooler pipe clamp and disconnecting the power steering cooler pipe from the remote power steering fluid reservoir. This must be followed by disconnecting the power steering cooler pipe fitting from the power steering gear. You must first unscrew all routing brackets of the power steering cooler pipe before taking out this pipe from the vehicle. The new power steering cooler pipe must be installed while all routing brackets should be reconnected. Tighten the power steering cooler pipe fitting toward the power steering gear until reaching the torque value of 25 n.m (18 lb ft).
