How to replace the steering gear inner tie rod off on 2008 Chevrolet Equinox?

In order to change the steering gear inner tie rod, unscrew the steering gear boot, and look at whether there is any corrosion. Install the steering gear in a vise and disconnect the retaining washer and remove the housing off of the steering gear rack. Install a new retaining washer and tighten inner tie rod and then install the boot once again.
