One must begin the replacement of the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose by removing the fuel injector sight shield. The initial step requires draining as much power steering fluid possible from the remote power steering fluid reservoir after placing drain pans beneath the vehicle. Before disconnecting the Power Steering Reservoir outlet hose from the remote power steering fluid reservoir you should compress the Power Steering Reservoir outlet hose clamp . To disconnect the hose you should first lift the vehicle before compressing the Power Steering Reservoir outlet clamp for a second time. To perform the installation remove the Power Steering Reservoir outlet hose from its connections. First install the new Power Steering Reservoir outlet hose in the vehicle then compress the hose clamp and join the hose to the Power Steering Pump before connecting it at the remote power steering fluid reservoir. Cleaning power steering fluid traces from the vehicle then removing drain pans until the vehicle reaches ground level. The last step involves both reattaching the fuel injector sight shield and carrying out power steering system filling and bleeding procedures.
