Chevrolet Express 3500 Throttle Position Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Chevrolet Express 3500?
    A:
Beginning Throttle Position Sensor service requires users to disconnect the negative Battery Cable followed by removing engine cover parts. Begin by disconnecting the harness connector from the Throttle Position Sensor then remove the fasteners which secure the tp sensor. The tp sensor must stay free from liquid cleaning solutions or solvents to prevent any damage so remove it from the Throttle Body assembly. Before tightening the sensor into position make sure to close the throttle valve but install the tp sensor on the throttle shaft while rotating it in a counterclockwise direction to match the mounting holes. Secure the tp sensor to the Throttle Body through its attaching fasteners at a torque of 2 n.m (18 lb in). Finally you should reconnect the negative Battery Cable before installing the engine cover and reattaching the tp sensor harness connector.
