How to service the MAP Sensor on Chevrolet Express 3500?

Service of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor begins by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by removing the engine cover. Remove the MAP Sensor harness connector while maintaining careful hand position to prevent harm to both the sensor itself and the Intake Manifold. Before using an existing MAP Sensor follow up by putting the new MAP Sensor in position to the grommet on the Intake Manifold. The MAP Sensor requires pulling upward with gentle shaking movements to be removed for disposal of the old grommet. To complete the installation process start by adding the MAP Sensor grommet into place on the MAP Sensor before installing the MAP Sensor itself and connecting the MAP Sensor harness connector. The procedure ends by replacing the engine cover while reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
