How to Service and Repair the Power Steering Reservoir on Chevrolet Lumina?

Start reservoir servicing and repair procedures by placing the power steering hydraulic pump on a steady flat surface so its shaft faces upwards. The screwdriver pushes the retaining clip tab while allowing you to slide the reservoir clip backward away from the hydraulic pump assembly. Remove the reservoir from the hydraulic pump housing before discarding its O-ring seal located at the reservoir neck or at the hydraulic pump housing. Before installation place new O-ring seal under power steering reservoir before placing it on the reservoir neck. Before installing the reservoir onto the hydraulic pump assembly make sure the reservoir neck fits properly into its opening slots. Place reservoir feet along hydraulic pump housing sides before attaching the new retaining clips which come with the pump unit while making certain the clip tabs extend to the housing.
