The Power Steering Pump replacement process starts by eliminating both the upper Engine Mount and Drive Belt from the vehicle. The first step involves detaching power steering hoses from the pump and removing the Power Steering Pump mounting bolts for ultimate pump removal from the vehicle. As a part of installation the Power Steering Pump must be placed on the engine with special attention directed toward the fastener notice in service precautions. Install the Power Steering Pump by using the mounting bolts and torque them to 34 nm tightness (25 ft. Lbs.). After reconnecting power steering hoses to the pump the technician must reinstall the Drive Belt along with the upper Engine Mount. The Power Steering Pump needs to be filled with power steering fluid followed by power steering system bleeding procedures.
