Service of the Air Injection Pump requires users to elevate the vehicle and then remove both the left wheel and left front fender liner. The service of the Air Injection Pump starts with disconnecting the AIR exhaust hose from the AIR pump by loosening its pinch clamp then removing the electrical connector from the pump. You must first discount the nuts connecting the AIR pump bracket to the frame and next you can uninstall the AIR pump and bracket combined. Fasten the AIR pump alongside its bracket to the frame mount by using nuts until they reach 50 N.m (37 lb ft). Connect the AIR pump electrical connector to install the system while applying lubricant to the inner edge of the AIR exhaust hose before mounting it to the AIR pump outlet port. The PINCH clamp on the AIR exhaust hose goes around the joint before you reinstall the left front fender liner and left wheel assembly and lower the vehicle.
