  A: The first step for servicing and repairing the 4 speed-ms7 Automatic Transmission Shifter involves disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Start by removing the Center Console before unattaching the shift select cable at both its manual selector base and lever. The service requires one to detach the manual selector illumination lamp and shift lock control module electrical connectors along with the btsi cable from the manual selector. Taking the manual selector from the vehicle requires removing four bolts. Make sure the manual selector returns inside the vehicle by installing 4 bolts which must be tightened to 13 nm (115 inch lbs.). Proceed with connecting overdrive switch manual selector illumination lamp and shift lock control module electrical connectors to the manual selector base and then route the shift select cable from the manual selector base to the manual selector lever. Put back the rear and Center Console after reconnecting the btsi cable. Reinstall the negative Battery Cable as the final step in the procedure.
