Chevrolet Prizm Clutch Master Cylinder Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Clutch Master Cylinder on Chevrolet Prizm?
A: Begin by removing the vehicle's negative Battery Cable while simultaneously disconnecting the clutch actuator cylinder fluid line that extends into the master cylinder reservoir. The first step involves extracting the Clutch Master Cylinder push rod's clevis pin and dislodging the two blocking nuts that secure the Clutch Master Cylinder to the bulkhead for vehicle removal. Next set the Clutch Master Cylinder into position inside the vehicle then tighten the two bulkhead-facing master cylinder retaining nuts to 21 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Begin by installing the pushrod back onto the clutch pedal and by connecting the fluid line from the clutch actuator cylinder to the master cylinder reservoir. Complete clutch system bleeding before reconnecting the vehicle's negative Battery Cable.
