  Start the Fuel Rail repair and servicing process by using the j 43178 prizm fuel line quick connect separator to disconnect the quick connect coupling between the fuel feed hose and fuel feed pipe of the Fuel Rail then catch the leaking fuel using a shop towel. Begin by unscrewng the two fasteners and 2 plastic retainers followed by removing the engine cover. Fuelling pressure must be reduced before performing any work. Proceed by taking off the fastener securing the tv cable bracket before moving the tv cable and bracket backward from the Fuel Rail assembly. The procedure starts by disconnecting electrical connectors from Fuel Injectors before removing fastener items from the Fuel Rail. Extract the Fuel Rail together with its spacers and fuel injectors that include both o-rings and grommets. Clean engine oil should be applied to new o-rings and grommets before their placement on the fuel injectors. Put the fuel injectors into the Fuel Rail before you set the Fuel Rail and spacers on the engine using two fasteners constrained to 18.5 n.m (13 lb ft). Connect the tv cable and bracket via a fastener tightened at 8.8 n.m (77 lb in). The quick-connect fitting should connect the fuel feed hose to the fuel feed pipe of the Fuel Rail followed by installation of the quick connect coupling cover. After connecting the negative Battery Cable the ignition should be turned on to apply fuel system pressure. The system should be turned off after checking for fuel leaks to perform necessary repairs.
