How to Properly Service and Repair the Fan Shroud on Chevrolet S10?

The first step to replace the Fan Shroud involves air intake duct assembly removal from the 2.2l vehicle by unclamping air ducts and removing air duct rivets until the intake duct assembly can be extracted from the Fan Shroud. Start by removing the upper Fan Shroud screws followed by detaching the coolant recovery reservoir hose from the lower Fan Shroud after which you can lift the lower Fan Shroud until the locating tabs release from the Radiator then take it off the vehicle. To install insert the lower Fan Shroud to the Radiator and apply pressure through the Fan Shroud tabs to set them inside the Radiator. The upper Fan Shroud should be installed through its attaching screws which need to be tightened to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). The vehicle needs its coolant recovery reservoir hose attaching to the lower Fan Shroud while customers with 2.2l engines must install the air intake duct assembly through Fan Shroud air duct clamp loosening followed by air duct rivets removal then intake duct assembly retrieval from the shroud and finally duct installation and air duct clamp tightening of 5 nm (44 inch lbs.) before rivet refit.
