Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Fuse Box Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the left instrument panel fuse box on Chevrolet Silverado 1500?
A: The replacement process for the left instrument panel electrical center or junction block starts with taking out the left side end panel and knee bolster. Disengage the wiring connectors from the Fuse block followed by removing all fuses from their locations. Remove the turn signal relay from the Fuse block rear position followed by removing the bolt which keeps the Fuse block in place. A screwdriver should be used to remove the Fuse block from the wire harness block by pushing its retainers until the Fuse block exits the vehicle. Begin installation by inserting the Fuse block onto the i/p assembly until it locks then attach the wire harness block to the Fuse block rear end before tightening the bolt to 6 n.m (53 lb in). The turn signal relay should be installed first followed by a reference to the wiring diagram on the Fuse panel cover for proper Fuse insertion and electrical connector alignment. Place the knee bolster followed by the left side end panel for reinstallation.
