Junction Block

The replacement process for the left instrument panel electrical center or junction block starts with taking out the left side end panel and knee bolster. Disengage the wiring connectors from the Fuse block followed by removing all fuses from their locations. Remove the turn signal relay from the Fuse block rear position followed by removing the bolt which keeps the Fuse block in place. A screwdriver should be used to remove the Fuse block from the wire harness block by pushing its retainers until the Fuse block exits the vehicle. Begin installation by inserting the Fuse block onto the i/p assembly until it locks then attach the wire harness block to the Fuse block rear end before tightening the bolt to 6 n.m (53 lb in). The turn signal relay should be installed first followed by a reference to the wiring diagram on the Fuse panel cover for proper Fuse insertion and electrical connector alignment. Place the knee bolster followed by the left side end panel for reinstallation.

Remove the right side end panel first in order to replace the right Instrument Panel Electrical Center or Junction Block. Press on the tabs to take out the fuse block, then pull it from the I/P to get to and loosen the retaining bolt. Take a screwdriver and loosen the wire harness block from the fuse block, then take the I/P wiring harness block out of the car. Hook the fuse block onto the I/P wiring harness block and fasten it in place with the retaining bolt, making sure it is tightened to 6 N.m (53 lb in). Then, put the fuse block into the I/P and make sure it snaps into position, link up the wiring harness to the block, and then install the end panel on the right side.

The first step for replacing the underhood electrical center or junction block is to disconnect the negative Battery Cable. Open the electrical center brace cover by lifting it outwards and remove the left fender upper brace. Begin by extracting all fuses and relays then press the tab to turn the electrical center mounted on the studs at position. Remove all connectors by detaching their bolts before disconnecting them from the electrical center block. Tugging the tabs will raise the electrical center beyond the housing. The engine electrical center bracket transfer can begin after you remove its four retaining bolts and extract the assembly from the fender. Position the engine electrical center bracket assembly on the front fender and fix it with 4 retaining bolts at 9 n.m (80 lb in). Line up the electrical center block stubs into slots and let the tabs secure it in position while you fasten wire connectors to its lower portion which requires bolt tightening at 9 n.m (80 lb in). Plug all wire connectors tightly into their respective positions before letting the electrical center block rest until the tabs snugly click in. Use Fuse location information to put on all fuses and relays before applying the cover then secure the lower part of the cover. After positioning the fender upper brace correctly you should tighten its 4 bolts to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Begin the vehicle operation after reattaching the negative Battery Cable to validate that all elements operate correctly.

Starting the replacement of underhood electrical center or junction block involves disconnecting the negative Battery Cable while removing the left fender upper brace. Clear the tabs by lifting upwards the electrical center brace cover assembly and after removal of all fuses and relays proceed with the electrical center replacement. Perform these steps to rotate the electrical center on the studs located at while pushing on the tab and unfastening the bolt for all the connectors. Pushing the tabs lets you raise the electrical center beyond the housing as you disconnect all electrical connectors from the electrical center block. The replacement of the engine electrical center bracket requires bolt removal from four points to extract the assembly from the fender area. The front fender requires attachment of the engine electrical center bracket assembly followed by securing the 4 retaining bolts to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Insert the electrical center block stubs into their designated slots before securing them by the tabs and attach the wire connectors to the lower part of the electrical center block using bolts which need tightening to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The electrical center block should be placed into position until the tabs engage for lock. Install the lower part of the cover after which you must replace all fuses and relays with the cover removed according to the Fuse location information before installing the cover. Affix the fender upper brace to its position while torquing the 4 bolts to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). After reconnecting the negative cable begin the engine and check all system functionality.

The replacement of the left side instrument panel electrical center or junction block starts with removing the left end panel and knee bolster. All wiring connectors should be detached from the Fuse block followed by the removal of fuses and the turn signal relay from its back side. Using a screwdriver and a retaining bolt behind the Fuse block enables the removal of the block from its harness block position. Pressing on these retainers enables you to remove the Fuse block out of the vehicle. The installation of the Fuse block requires placing it onto the i/p assembly for proper insertion and attaching the wire harness block to its back. Secure the bolt with a torque of 6 n.m that equals 53 lb in. Follow the turn signal relay installation after you install the fuses based on the wiring diagram on the Fuse panel cover. The electrical connectors must be secured first while the knee bolster and left side end panel will be installed afterward.

The first step for junction block or electrical center replacement of the right instrument panel requires end panel removal from that side. Push the tabs to unfasten the fuse block and afterward draw it out from the instrument panel to access the retaining bolt for loosening. Detach the wire harness block from the fuse block by using a screwdriver before removing the I/P wiring harness block from the vehicle. The installation begins by fastening the fuse block onto the I/P wire harness block while you should secure the retaining bolt at 6 N.m (53 lb in). Complete installation requires pushing the fuse block into the I/P until it clicks while connecting wiring connectors to the fuse block before reattaching the right side end panel.

Start the replacement process of the Body Wiring Harness Junction Block by removing its retaining nut followed by pushing in the tabs located on the cover. Removal of the junction block from the bracket requires you to disconnect the harness from its front position before pressing on the tabs to release it. Take out all bolts located at the junction block's rear side during removal. First utilize a screwdriver to divide the junction block from the wire harness block before removing the junction block entirely from the vehicle. Place the wire harness block onto the junction block before you install its retaining bolts at a torque value of 6 N.m (53 lb in). Reinstall the junction block to its bracket through the top push point to achieve proper insertion. You should install the harness to the front of the junction block before putting on the cover which will automatically lock in place and then you should tighten the retaining nut by hand until it reaches its proper position.
