Junction Block

The first task to change the right side end panel and fuse block requires removing the right side end panel. The tabs need to be pushed for detaching the fuse block before you gently pull it from the instrument panel to reveal the retaining bolt. A screwdriver will help you detach the wire harness block from the fuse block for removing the I/P wiring harness block from the car. Join the fuse block to the I/P wire harness block by inserting the retaining bolt and tighten it to 6 N.m (53 lb in). The installation process includes fitting the fuse block into the I/P until it clicks while performing wiring connector attachment to the fuse block then reattaching the right side end panel.

The process to replace the left inst. Panel, elec. Center, or junction block begins by taking off the left side end panel together with the knee bolster. First remove all fuses from the block then disconnect all wiring connectors from their positions inside the block. The turn signal relay should be removed from the Fuse block backend followed by removing the retaining bolt behind the Fuse block. Operate a screwdriver to divide the Fuse block from the wire harness block then push the retainers to extract the Fuse block from the vehicle. The installation process begins by placing the Fuse block onto the i/p assembly where it clicks then adding the wire harness block to the back of Fuse block while installing the bolt with equal torque of 6 n.m (53 lb in). First reinstall the turn signal relay followed by referring to the wiring diagram on the Fuse panel cover for installing the fuses. Begin by installing electrical connectors followed by knee bolster reinstallation then complete the procedure by putting back the left side end panel.

You should start the replacement of the body wiring harness junction block by unscrewing the cover retaining nut followed by removing the cover by pressing the tabs. The junction block requires detachment from the harness at its front position followed by tab pressing until the junction block frees from the bracket. The rear of the block requires access to detach retaining bolts as a screwdriver separates the junction block from the wire harness block. The junction block needs to be taken out from the vehicle. You should install the wire harness block to the junction block while following the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions then secure the retaining bolts at 6 N.m (53 lb in). Position the junction block onto its bracket with a gentle push of the top section that results in a clicking sound followed by harness plug-in at the junction block front. Place the cover by clicking its installation position then screw the retaining nut manually until it is securely seated.

Service professionals must begin electrical center or junction block replacement by detaching the negative Battery Cable followed by removal of the left fender upper brace. Clear the tabs on the electrical center brace cover assembly by lifting it outwards before taking out all fuses and relays. Use the tab to twist the electrical center on the studs at until all connectors become free by removing their bolt . Push the tabs to detach electrical connectors from the block area of the electrical center and lift the center out of its housing. The replacement of engine electrical center brackets involves using a 4-bolt retaining process to extract the fender-mounted engine electrical assembly. The engine electrical center bracket assembly must be mounted on the front fender following engine electrical center bracket assembly and the 4 retaining bolts must be tightened to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The electrical center block stubs should enter their corresponding slots while the tabs function to keep it situated before the wire connectors are attached to the lower electrical center block portion followed by bolt tightening to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Position the electrical center block properly to lock its tabs before tightening all wire connectors securely. The lower part of the cover gets installed first and afterward follow the Fuse location guide to install all fuses and relays before finishing with the cover. Secure the fender upper brace by tightening all its bolts to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Check all components by starting the vehicle after reattaching the negative cable.

The replacement process of the left instrument panel electrical center or junction block begins by removing both the left side end panel and knee bolster. Remove and disconnect all wiring connectors from the Fuse block and all fuses should be taken out. Removing the turn signal relay first from the back of the Fuse block is necessary before removing the bolt behind the Fuse block. Inserting a screwdriver between the Fuse block and wire harness block allows removal of the Fuse block from the vehicle by applying pressure to its retainers. Insert the Fuse block onto the i/p assembly until it clicks before attaching the wire harness block to the Fuse block backend. Fasten the bolt by torquing it to 6 n.m (53 lb in). Apply the wiring diagram from the Fuse panel cover to reinstall fuses as part of installing the turn signal relay. First reconnect all electrical connectors then replace the knee bolster before putting in the left side end panel.

The harness must be detached from the junction block's front side while pressing on its tabs will free it from the bracket. Begin by taking out all retaining bolts at the back of the device before using a screwdriver to split up the wire harness block from the junction block. Connect the wiring connectors to the fuse block, ensuring the connections are correct then finally, re-fix the right side end panel.
